COURSE DESIGN

An introductory course running since 2013. We are currently offering virtual and face-to-face courses at different times of year. Face-to-face courses are generally held in Liverpool or Manchester. Topics will include: tracheostomy tube care and reinsertion; nasal cautery and packing for epistaxis; aspiration of peritonsillar abscesses and more.

ATTENDEES

This is aimed at hospital doctors, nurse practitioners, paramedics, physician’s associates and GPs with little or no experience of ENT, but who provide primary or emergency care, or cross-cover. The course covers both adult and paediatric ENT emergencies.

FEES

£15

Hands-on course wiith the chance to practise with equipment and models; sandwich/deli lunch and refreshments included.

Refund & Cancellation Policy: No refunds are available for this course, although attendees can arrange for one substitution by informing the course organisers in writing no less than one week before the course. These rules allow us to provide viable courses with high actor-attendee ratios at a reasonable cost. 

If we are forced to cancel the course either because of low uptake (four or fewer attendees) or because of circumstances beyond our control, we will contact attendees at the earliest possible time (usually at least four weeks before the course). If we are forced to cancel a course, attendees will be given a full refund less any fees that the payment processing service may charge, but we are not liable for other costs they may have incurred. (For context, we have never had to cancel a course in the past.)
